Mathematical models are the nuts and bolts of physics education.

We use them to describe, explain, and predict the range of physics phenomena in our classrooms. In this webinar, Josh Ence and Dave Vernier will compare and contrast three methods for exploring mathematical models: experiments using sensors, online interactive simulations, and Python® coding. We’ll discuss their advantages and disadvantages, as well as when you may choose one method over another.

Experiments:

  • Simple Harmonic Motion (Physics with Vernier, Experiment 15)
